who am I? {about me}

Hello! Welcome to my blog. I am very happy that you have decided to stop by and read some stuff. I know that when I read someone’s blog, the first thing I like to read is their “about me” page. I love to read about the person whose entries I read to see what kind of person they are and what they like/dislike. So, in an attempt to help ease your curiosity, let me introduce myself…

I’m Keri, which is Irish for Dark Haired One. It fits nicely because I’m dark haired…thank goodness. My parents picked the name out before I was born, so wouldn’t it have been hilarious if I was born with blond hair? I’d be the definition of irony. It’d be fantastic.

I tend to be, most of the time, extremely bubbly and outgoing…especially when given caffeine. I guess I should state it now, I am a Starbucks frappucino addict and totally proud of it. Shout out to any other fellow Starbucks’ customers! However, I am such an addict that when I don’t have said frappucino, I receive lovely headaches. So I’m trying to, sadly, quit. It’s harder then it sounds…let me tell you! Really hard actually. I may write a blog post specifically about my struggle. Maybe. Keep checking!

When I first started writing this blog, I didn’t realize that it would become such an addicting part of my day. I try to blog frequently, but you know how life is…it sometimes gets in the way of the fun things. When I get the chance to actually sit down and write, I like to find the humor and irony in every situation. Irony is my favorite, if you haven’t been able to tell.

I want to be your friend and I love to make people laugh. I try my hardest to make even the most boring blog posts funny, so that you will be entertained by my random life. When I was younger, I wanted to be a Fox News anchor by day and a comedian by night. As much as I think that would be great and oh so fun, trying to make people laugh with improv is extremely intimidating. I tried it once. “Once” being the key word. It turned out to be a fail, making me realize that I was not born to be a comedian.
On the other hand, going back to the blogging subject, I think it would be awesome to be one of those people who sits in a coffee shop with their laptop and cup of preferred beverage [Starbucks mocha coconut frappucino, please!] and blogs about their life adventures. I did it once and was able to check it off my bucket list! [Check The Bucketlist out, when you get a chance, by the way...and add your ideas, too!]

Some things I love: I love the beach and being tan. I love dolphins and french fries drenched in vinegar. I love learning how to play the ukulele. I love scrap booking and organizing my room (over and over and over again). I love shopping to find fabulous deals and Forever 21 is my favorite store to shop at. Hands down. I love to read and play piano. I love bright neon colors and am a sucker for school supplies…especially if they come in the colors bubble gum pink, sky blue, lime green, and bright orange. Notebooks are my weakness. Always has been. Always will be.
Photography is my ever growing passion and addiction. I love experimenting with new angles, lightning, subjects, and ideas.

I love my family, although we all get on each other’s nerves sometimes. I’m not really good at hiding my feelings. I try, but it doesn’t usually work. When I’m happy, you know it. When I’m sad, you can tell. One person I know says I’m an open book, which means you can tell all about me just from the outside. I guess that’s a good thing? Maybe not. I can also be very opinionated when it comes to certain topics. You may have already figured that out if you’ve read some of my blog posts already. Feel free to comment if you agree or object. I love getting second opinions, it helps me learn.

My friends rock. We’ve gone through a lot and they’ve helped me with a lot. I’m so thankful for them and love them all!

People say I smile too much, but I smile because Jesus is my Savior and He’s the reason I do everything. So yes… I am a Christian and totally proud of it. Most of the time, my blog posts will end up talking about Jesus and what He’s doing in my life. He does amazing things every day and I know that I sometimes take it for granted. Thankfully, He’s a God of grace and forgives me for when I become too proud to see my own flaws. He molds me to be His daughter more and more each day. My life would literally not be the same without Him.

So yeah, that’s just a tidbit of information about me, the author of this blog. I hope that helped ease a little bit of your curiosity. But, if you have any questions or want to contact me, feel free to comment anywhere on this site and I’ll contact you back as soon as I possibly can! You can even follow me on twitter…I love getting new followers, mentions, favorites, retweets, etc etc. I’ll follow you back, too!
Enjoy reading and don’t forget to subscribe so you can read some more! :]
